Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Students & Stakeholders,

I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Skyview Middle School. It is with great enthusiasm that I step into this role, knowing the incredible legacy left by my predecessor, Mrs. Wendy James. Over her 19 years of service, Mrs. James dedicated herself to fostering a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and growth within our school community. Her unwavering commitment has shaped Skyview into the thriving learning environment it is today, and I extend my deepest gratitude for her hard work and leadership.

As I begin this journey, I look forward to collaborating with each of you—students, parents, & stakeholders—to build upon the foundation that has been so thoughtfully established. My goal is to ensure that every student continues to receive the highest quality education in a supportive and inspiring setting. Together, we will uphold the values and traditions that make our school special while embracing new opportunities for growth and innovation.

If you're curious about me, here’s a quick glimpse into my journey:

  • I was the first in my family to graduate from high school, a milestone that set the foundation for my career.
  • As a professionally trained and certified behavior analyst, I’ve dedicated my expertise to making a difference.
  • My 20 years in public education—10 of those in school leadership—have shaped my commitment to fostering growth and learning.
  • Family is at the heart of everything I do. I have 5 wonderful children and I am a proud grandparent.
  • Home is Pueblo West, where I share life with my wife, daughter, and three beloved dogs.
  • When I step away from work, I’m happiest in the forest—camping, cooking, and cherishing time with family and friends.

I am excited for the year ahead and eager to meet and engage with each of you. Please know that my door is always open, and I welcome your thoughts, ideas, and perspectives. Let’s work together to make this year one of great learning, meaningful connections, and shared success.

Warm regards,

Robert Brill, M.A., BCBA

Principal, Skyview Middle School
