LATE WORK

Late work is NOT accepted in the eighth grade. If you are in class to get the assignment it is due on the assigned due date. You have ample resources at your fingertips for getting help on assignments, and there is absolutely no excuse for you to miss an assignment.

HEADINGS

All paperwork handed in will have the following heading written in the upper right hand side of the paper.*

First AND Last Name

Hour of your class

Date

Assignment Name

*Any and all assignments turned in without a name will be placed in a folder for no names. It is your responsibility to find your assignments and return them to me with your name or you will receive a zero on the assignment!

MISSING CLASS

Come to class! Missing a class means missing out on the topic(s) we have covered. Although I expect you to be in class every day, there will be times when you can’t be here. If you know you will be gone, come to me and I’ll get your assignments to you before you go. If the absence is unexpected, my planner will have what we did in class, any homework turned in, the assignments given, and their due dates. Time to complete assignments is equal to the number of days you missed. I may not remember to remind you to get your work, so remind yourself! You are responsible for yourself in all other aspects of life…

BEHAVIORS

v      Obey ALL school procedures

v      Be honorable

v      Extend common courtesy in all situations

L       Common courtesy is achieved when you DON’T:

o        Whine or make excuses

o        Speak while I or another classmate is speaking

o        Make rude or vulgar comments

o        Come to class late

o        Bring your toys to class, including playback devices, calculators, cell phones, etc.

o        Do other homework while class is in session

o        Write or send personal notes while class is in session

o        Mess with anyone else’s personal property (including mine)

o        Cluster around the door before I dismiss you

TIMES FOR EXTRA HELP OR MAKE-UP WORK

After school (at least until 3:15)
